Author Hugo Hamilton was inducted into the Hennessy XO Hall of Fame at a special ceremony in Dublin's Four Seasons Hotel during the week. He joins a stellar line-up that includes Joseph O'Connor, Anne Enright, Colum McCann and Pat McCabe.

The writer of bestseller The Speckled People said: "I still think of myself as a beginner. It's a great honour to join people such as Anne Enright and Dermot Bolger in the hall of fame."
